Certified Journeyman Farrier
Kirk Underschultz
We have as a part of our
design and education team Certified Journeyman Farrier, Kirk Underschultz. (American Farriers Association member #471) Kirk
has been shoeing horses for over thirty years. He received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Forestry from the University of Alberta, Canada; he graduated from Meredith Manor School of
Horsemanship in Parkersburg, West Virginia with a concentration in Riding and
Blacksmithing; and he received a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on
Equestrian Studies from Salem-Teikyo University in Salem, West Virginia. Kirk has also been an instructor for the
shoeing program at Hocking Technical College in Ohio. In September/October 2010 Kirk served as a
member of the AFA TEAM FARRIER for DRESSAGE at the World Equestrian Games. He has run clinics for owners, veterinarians and farriers
alike all which reflect his philosophy that your education never should stop.
